Always an outdoor girl, I grew up grooming and riding horses from year dot. Dogs and cats were a constant feature in my family, long before I appeared on the scene. Having completed an apprenticeship at the Royal Parks of London, where I even had tea with the Queen, I went on to study an HND in Horticulture at Writtle College. I then had my own business in Horticulture and Landscaping. A change of track after having a family saw me qualify and work as a nursery nurse up to reception year in schools.
My love of animals though won over in the end and here we are today. After returning happily to Writtle, the top destination for Horticulture and Animal qualifications, I gained my Canine First Aid and completed and passed the Dog and Business certs/course. I am very easy-going in my personal and professional life, making me adaptable to changing circumstances and requirements you and your pet may need. I always plan with my clients when we initially meet, so their dogs/animals are correctly and lovingly cared for in a way that they feel most comfortable. This results in a "happy dog", or indeed, "cat". Most of this requires simply love and respect for animals, and the establishment of trust between animal owner and us at For Paws. Be it dog walking, cat or puppy sitting, or even checking in to see and settle our furry friends, you can be confident, happy and secure in the knowledge that the little guys are going to be in good hands. |
